I have a 7th grader at FMS and he goes and comes back home each day to and from school with a smile, a yearning to learn, loved the staff, student, and administration. We are glad we chose FMS as the middle school and look forward to our younger son having the same amazing experience in a few years. I am an an active PTO parent and I have personal experience that the staff and administration is very cooperative and are excellent examples of leaders of the school.

The teachers who wrote the reviews dated in April 2014 appear not to have worked at the same school I did. Teachers are great for the most part and have high expectations for their students. Teachers would be a lot more successful if the school had a supportive administration, especially a principal that treated staff with respect and handled disciplinary issues in an expedient and befitting way.

I think that Franklin Middle School is a great school, but does not get the positive press that it deserves. There are many great things that our students, teachers and administrators are doing everyday that is not showcased by the local media. I think that if people came to see for themselves how good a school it is, they would agree! The school is safe and provides a host of activities for students to participate in. It's diversity is unique and is the driving force that makes this school a great place for our students to learn and grow.

I feel that this school is huge! It holds the good, the bad and the ugly. The good are kids that set goals, the bad are kids that are the wonderers heading towards the ugly side and the ugly are the kids that s found power behind drugs and gangs, which are heading nowhere. As a parent of a child attending Franklin High School, there is very little support on filtering out the ugly kids. I ve notice much concussion on where do I fit in . What this school needs is more teachers that care and follow through a intervention process and help kids that are wondering on how to fit in and expel the ugly kids who have become the diseases of this school. Franklin High School needs to embrace kids that are trying to find their way through high school and guide them through programs that will best suit them in the future.

i love my school and yes there could be some improvements but no school is perfect. i love that in every class i have there is all different races its not all white all asian all black its a wonderful mixture. also the teachers are super nice and extra helpful most teachers have office hours every single day to help students improve there grade. fms also has a lot of activities to participate in and that keeps kids from having nothing to do you can do yearbook club advanced dance sports and more! the security is very kind and their disiplin methods are very fair. i would not wanna be in any other school that fms. the only downside are the lunches haha but hey when it comes to a good school parents dont look for gormet(spell check) chefs. so hats of to fms I love my school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a great school, part of that is due to the ethnic diversity, children having to make right and wrong choices (which is part of life) i have two children in the franklin school system and could be happier. parents need to be more involved in teaching their children not blaming a school system!!!

Big time problems at FMS. The teachers and staff are wonderful, even security. However, this school has discipline and behavior problems. Mostly due to cultural and racial diversity of student body. The school needs to work harder to create an environment of tolerance and respect.

This school has a diverse group of children and teachers with a lot to offer. The activities are great and the honors classes are challenging.
